baked Hawaiian delight with tropical sauce

16-ounce loaf Hawaiian or Portuguese sweet bread

eggs
1/2
cup milk
3
teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided

cup Homemade Gourmet® Vanilla Vibe Sweet Pantry Staple

cup sweetened flaked coconut
1/2
stick unsalted butter, melted

1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9x2 baking pan.

  Tear sweet bread into large chunks and place in baking pan. In a medium size bowl, whisk eggs with milk; add 11/2 teaspoons cinnamon. Pour mixture over bread and press bread down into egg mixture to soak up liquid. Combine sweet pantry staple, coconut, and remaining cinnamon; sprinkle over bread and egg mixture. Drizzle with butter.
3.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until bread has puffed and dish is bubbly around the edges.
4.
To serve, cut into squares and spoon Tropical Sauce over individual portions, if desired.

tropical sauce

24-ounce jar mango in light syrup (produce section of grocery), drained - reserve 2 tablespoons juice

ounces fresh pineapple*

cup Homemade Gourmet® Vanilla Vibe Sweet Pantry Staple

tablespoons cornstarch

*15-ounce can pineapple chunks, drained, may be substituted.


1.
Chop mango and pineapple into bite size pieces; set aside.
2.
In a medium saucepan, combine sweet pantry staple with cornstarch; stir in reserved mango juice, mango, and pineapple.
3.
Cook over medium heat, stir constantly, until mixture is thickened; remove from heat.

cranbrosia

11-ounce can mandarin oranges, drained, reserve juice

8-ounce can pineapple chunks, drained, reserve juice

envelopes unflavored gelatin

cups fresh cranberries or frozen, thawed

cup sweetened flaked coconut

8-ounce carton light sour cream

cup light whipping cream

banana, sliced 

1.
  In a small saucepan, combine reserved juices with gelatin; heat over low heat, stir constantly until gelatin dissolves. Set aside to cool.
2.
Using a food processor or blender, chop cranberries; pour chopped cranberries into a large serving bowl. Add cooled gelatin mixture, sweet pantry staple, and remaining ingredients. Stir until well blended leaving top of mixture smooth.
3.
  Cover and chill 8 hours or if desired, spoon mixture into a 7 cup mold; cover and chill 8 hours. Invert onto serving plate, remove mold.

orange smoothie

cup orange juice

cup orange sherbet or non-fat vanilla frozen yogurt

cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped or frozen peaches*

*1 15-ounce can peaches, well drained, may be substituted.


1.
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor, puree until smooth.
2.
Pour into glasses and garnish with fruit of choice.
